Luke 11:37–39

“Woes” on the Pharisees

37 And as He spoke, a certain Pharisee asked Him to dine with him. So He went in and sat down to eat. 38 dWhen the Pharisee saw it, he marveled that He had not first washed before dinner.

39 eThen the Lord said to him, Now you Pharisees make the outside of the cup and dish clean, but fyour inward part is full of 2greed and wickedness.

Luke 11:37–39 — The New International Version (NIV)

37 When Jesus had finished speaking, a Pharisee invited him to eat with him; so he went in and reclined at the table. 38 But the Pharisee was surprised when he noticed that Jesus did not first wash before the meal.

39 Then the Lord said to him, Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness.
